Wildlife in the Baviaanskloof

Baviaanskloof Native Wildlife

Cedar Tourism is entirely surrounded by the Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site Reserve, and has a rich diversity of animals.  Many of the animals are nocturnal, and we have game monitoring camera’s set up in different places around the area to enable us to have a better idea of what is moving around the farm.

In addition to the more eciting animals such as leopard, otter, honey badger and caracul, the cameras show us very healthy popultions of kudu, klipspringers, bush pig, porkupine and others.

For a more comprehensive list of animals in the Baviaanskloof, click here.

Our accommodation at the Cedar Guesthouse, Just for Two Cottage, Cob Cottage and Camping Chalets are all well placed to give you walking access into the wilderness.
