Welcome to the Baviaanskloof!
Our farm is a small island of private land completely surrounded by the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Reserve. We have a passion for the area and this farm. At the moment we
do not live on the farm permanently, as we have a little baby, and
family and friends to support us in Knysna.
This guesthouse is
run as an empowerment project, with the staff sharing in the
business income. Willem is the Foreman of the farm and is now in charge of overseeing the
guesthouse and the Just-For-Two cottage. If you have any queries
about the walks, activities – Labyrinth, Bushman paintings,
swimming, donkey car rides etc, please ask him and he will be able
to assist you.
Marta is in charge of cleaning and preparing the guesthouse and
cottage prior to your arrival, and runs Marta's Restuarant. Pieter is our gardener and guide. He can accompany you on the guided
walks and help check for snakes. He is also the person who does our
donkey-cart rides so just organize with him and Willem if you would
like to try it.
