Visitors Book

  • We had such a splendid time. Its completely magical there.

I wish the weather had allowed for a swim in the waterfall pool for me, but I will have to return to experience that. My husband Paul and the men did go up to the waterfall and loved it.

My highlights were the labyrinth - spectacular! and the Bushman paintings/ hike led by Willem. The veld is stunning at the moment FULL of flowers everywhere.

The great thing about staying in the Barn was its spaciousness - even when the wind prevented us from being outdoors we could all be comfortable and not on top of each other, indoors and have a fire in the hearth.

That said, the fire pit outdoors is great and was used with big enthusiasm.

The basics you have got so right: the things that can make or break your experience: a VERY comfortable bed, good linen and down duvet....wonderful.

Good furniture: sofas and that enormous dining table!!!

We all unanimously agreed that we'd like to return.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay thank you. The daytime temperatures were very high, but the cottage was cool. The hike to the waterfall was a highlight. The cottage and surrounds were very neat and tidy on our arrival, Willem was an attentive host. We popped in at Vero’s shop on the Baviaanskloof road, well done on this wonderful initiative; Veronica says that business is good!

  • We had an awesome time at your establishment. We found what we came looking for:-)  We also found your uplifting arrangement with Willem and Martha enlightening, amicable, inspiring and commendable. Wishing you and the team all of the best and hoping we will be blessed to return for another stay in the not-too-distant future.  I'm still struggling to focus at work, trying to get the Kloof out of mind:-) So much so, that I've started scouring the web for a piece of land to purchase. It was our first time there and its natural beauty and vastness completely consumed me - in a good way, that is!  Thanks for sharing your piece of true paradise with us.

  • Thank you, we had a wonderful stay at the cob cottage.  Wish it could be longer though.  Next time we will not drive through the Kloof but rather stay for the weekend.  Willem was great and we enjoyed his stories.  Martha's food was excellent!!  Nothing that we can say negative!

  • Thank you, we had a wonderful stay and loved every minute of it. The cottage was perfect and the setting 'to die for'. We walked to the waterfall (or nearly) as we had to swim to get through the other side of the deep kloof then couldn't face the walk to the end to see the falls in bare feet and swimming costumes - too hot and stones too sharp! But we loved it all and saw so much wildlife.

  • My wife and I are always on the look out for a cottage in the mountains. Well Just For Two certainly ticked all the boxes. Absolutely loved the cottage and the countryside. My thoughts kept going back to the history of the place – who lived there originally and what life was like. Even the spade at the braai area was special – made in England but now with an impressive South African handle. I do hope you have no plans to build any accommodation within sight of Just For Two. It is a romantic getaway which takes you back in history and  where one feels at one with nature. Just a pity you are 650 km away from us in Rondebosch but rest assured we will find reason to visit again.

Thank you for the encouragement to support Marta for a meal or two – we did that on Monday evening. Both Willem and Marta do a good job. When we walked the Labyrinth we did think that it is in danger of erosion and becoming a little overgrown but then it also does not need to look like a path at Kirstenbosch. We probably fell short of reaching the waterfall by about 10 or 15 minutes but there will be another time. I must also just compliment you with your communication – the impression we get is that you guys really care about your place and about the client experience.

  • We had a wonderful three days in Baviaanskloof staying in Cob Cottage. We really loved the cottage and found it very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to take any of the walks as the weather was extremely hot while we were there, but I guess that gives us a good excuse to return!!

We really enjoyed our meal cooked by Marta  and also the lovely loaf of bread. Both Marta and Willem were very attentive and made our stay most pleasurable…they are outstanding hosts!

We will be coming back to Baviaanskloof as three days was nowhere near long enough to enjoy all it has to offer and hope to make use of your services again!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Just for Two Cottage. It was the perfect setting for the "recharging of our batteries". Enjoyed the walks as well as the labyrinth - each time we walked the labyrinth we spotted a pair of Verreaux's Eagles soaring above the surrounding cliffs.

Willem was most helpful in showing us around the cottage and providing info on the walks.

We drove through the Baviaanskloof which we found to be most spectacular -  the road in the Wilderness Section is not in a very good condition and was somewhat challenging in parts but the Jimny did us proud.

We would love to come back for another visit.

  • We had a great time at Just for Two Cottage!  We had no idea what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised.  We are already planning our next visit!

  • Thank you, we really loved our stay at Cedar Farmhouse and the exquisite farm. We enjoyed the hike above the house and going to the labyrinth. We also enjoyed brisk walks along the farm road.

Willem and Marta were exceptionally friendly and willing to help when needed.

We will certainly highly recommend a visit to the truly beautifully secluded farm.
